ULUMALU-PEAHI Water Line Distribution

photo of area Maui Ranch Estates Owners Association is working with Department of Water Supply, Tri-Isle RC&D, USDA, Rural Development and Rural Community Assistance Program on improving a private water system that is deteriorating at Ulumalu-Peahi area.   The area serves 450 people.   USDA, Rural Development has provided a grant of $1.13 million and a loan of $295,000.   A Community Block grant of $100,000 has been approved, with a contribution from area residents.   The Department of Water Supply has allocated $100,000 in funding and Tri-Isle RC&D has been granted $70,000 for the design phase of the project with the County of Maui.
