Purpose:
To transmit FY-2008 Performance Results System (PRS) close out instructions for Pacific Islands Area.
Expiration Date:
December 31, 2008.
Background:
In order to meet requirements of National Bulletin 340-8-6, the following guidance is provided for the PIA.
Explaination:
As in past years, we have encouraged staff to enter all performance by the end of August. Progress may still be entered during September. However, for quality assurance purposes, reporting or editing of the FY-2008 PIA performance data will not be permitted after September 26, 2008 unless prior approval is granted from Shirley Nakamura, Asst. Director for Operations.
Data Entry and Quality Assurance:
FY-2008 PIA performance must be entered in PRS or POINTS by September 26, 2008. Program Managers, District Conservationists and RC&D Coordinators are to ensure that data entered are accurate, complete, and consistent.
Explanatory Notes:
Brief explanatory notes for individual program performance measures that either did not attain 95 percent or exceeded 110 percent of the FY-2008 PIA goals must be submitted by Program Managers, District Conservationists or RC&D Coordinators to cynthia.shishido@hi.usda.gov no later than October 1, 2008. Notes must describe the factors that contributed to the shortfall or excess.
