Purpose:
To announce new ESA Coordinator for FY07-08.

NRCS Pacific Islands Area has contracted Krista Winger of Island Geographic, LLC, to be the ESA Coordinator for the Pacific Islands
Area. She has been contracted to provide the following services:

1.
|
Conduct off-site inventories of rare species and critical
habitat, including listed threatened and endangered species that may
be affected by conservation projects as identified by NRCS. |

2. |
Review ESA section 7 letters written by the field office staff,
editing and formatting as necessary, and forwarding the revised
letter to the NRCS Pacific Islands Area State Office for final
approval. |
|
3. |
(State Office Only) Provide technical assistance in maintenance
of NRCS Biology Technical Notes related to section 7, including
Biology Technical Notes 12 (Critical Habitat Information), 13
(Threatened and Endangered Species Inventory). 14 ("No Effect" Note
to File and Worksheet), and 15 (Request for T&E Species Map and
Table Data Form) and others as may be necessary. |
