Purpose: To inform employees of a revised PI amendment to the conservation planning policy found in GM 180, Part 409.

Expiration Date: September 30, 2007

General Manual 180, Part 409 (Conservation Planning Policy) has been amended for the Pacific Islands Area. This amendment (PI Amendment 1, dated May 2007) replaces all prior conservation planning policy in effect for Hawaii and the former Pacific Basin. Included in this amendment is the revised policy for planner and specialist certification. Also included is a new section addressing job approval authorities for ecological conservation practices.

This policy is effective immediately upon receipt.
