Purpose: To
provide guidance for developing fiscal year (FY) 2007 State Business Plans.

The purpose of a
business plan is to provide a definitive list of actions and activities to guide
State, Area and Field Office operations. The plan may contain goals, milestones,
and actions used to achieve Agency and State strategic goals. PIA Policy as
mandated by GM-340, Amendment 9 (March 2006) prescribes that the State, Area and
Field Offices level shall complete a business plan to address resources and
actions to carry out fiscal year 2007 Strategic Goals, Performance Measures and
Management Initiatives.
Each State, Area and Field Office shall complete a draft and final business plan
for FY2007. The plan should contain actions that are direct, substantial and
used to achieve annual performance measures and accountability goals showing
completion dates and persons responsible. Draft plans shall be submitted via
email to Camille Kimbrough no later than September 30, 2006 by the close of
business. Final business plans will be completed 30 days following receipt of
the final allowance (usually sometime during the 1st quarter of the fiscal
year). Completed plans are to be updated quarterly.
