- Ho Family Farm
Wei Chong Ho has 40 acres on Oahu to farm Japanese cucumbers, long beans, squash, tomatoes, and eggplant. He and his family have been stellar land stewards for over 20 years. The conservation plan they hold with NRCS is to address weeds, insects, and plant disease by following an integrated pest management system. |

- Ono Organic Farms
The Boerner family was recognized by USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service as the state’s first Conservation Security Program (CSP) participants at a signing ceremony on Maui, August 31, 2005. Conservation Partners for twenty years, the Boerner Family utilizes conservation crop rotation, cover & green manure crops, and residue management practices. Ono Organic Farms is powered by a complete solar energy system which provides for the entire operation. |

This solar collection panel and charger is one of the projects in Saipan that illustrates the innovative ways that farmers are conserving energy.
