  • Kurencio will post to the Pacific Islands Area Civil Rights Web-site
    1. Cheryl requested that for the next CRAC teleconference; a recap of the past minutes be reviewed to ensure we are following up on duties already voted on by the committee.
New Business
  • Operations Meeting update: Postponed till next teleconference
  • Federal Women’s Manager FWP-developing and conducting annual sexual harassment training: Eileen
    • The FWP Manager has handled this required training in the past. Camille has a presentation pre-prepared if Colleen would like to review and use it for “08” requirement. Also, there are many Web-sites with information available, and or Program Managers from other states may be able to offer helpful insight. Kurencio will help Colleen to prepare.
  • SEPM’s Employee Organization’s Training Conference FY 2008
    • Request for your Conference’s/Training via the SF-182. Remember to get your Supervisors approval, authorization # and training #. Eileen will find out the new process because Camille will be gone.
  • Request Face-to Face CR Committee Meeting S.O. Hawaii, June or July 2008
    • Kurencio will be recommending to Larry that PIA CRC have their annual face to face meeting. In addition, he will be requesting a trainer from the National Civil Rights Division; it has been suggested that if PIA pays for the Airfare, National will pay for the per diem. Details of decision will be forthcoming.
    • Suggested dates are July 14th-18th. Or July 21st-25th. Pending everyone’s schedule. Deadline for the decision should be before the next CRC meeting in April
    • Eileen suggested the trainer’s stay for an additional day to train with the Leadership Staff.
  • Business Plan, where are we?
    • Review from Kurencio. Please see attached
    • Please forward new elements for your performance to your supervisors, and then to Eileen to obtain Keith’s signature. From there they will be given to Larry for approval for your file.
  • Upcoming Outreach/Career Fair Interviews
    • A standard for information has been put together and approved. If you
      would like to use it for your up and coming outreach Career Fairs, it will be
      made available
    • If you would like to contribute to the Database created in conjunction with
      the National AA/PI, please forward your student application information to
      Cheryl. The effort is hopefully to share amongst the various Programs and States.
  • Role of Civil Rights Committee-Read by Kurencio
    • CR’s Committee DOES NOT accept complaints of discrimination in employment or program deliver
