17. Could you please provide information on coffee growing?

1. The landowner was provided the name of the DC in this county to contact for assistance. Personnel Directory for the Pacific Islands Area.

It was also suggested that the landowner contact his local Cooperative Extension Office.

17. Why aren’t principal staff meeting minutes sent out via email?

1. This procedure began in May and will continue.

17. Why can’t State Office staff program their telephones to indicate when they will be out of the office?

1. I have requested that all State Office personnel change the greeting on their telephones to indicate dates of absence.

17. Why doesn’t the State Office send out monthly schedules to the field offices?

1.  We are looking into computerized calendars for employees. An excel calendar for state office employees has been posted. 

17. Is information available regarding biological surveys at Kauai Test Facility (KTF).

1. NRCS has not conducted biological surveys at KTF. Perhaps US Fish and Wildlife Service, DLNR or the Pacific Range Facility may have information. Their telephone numbers were provided.
